Ethical Internet Marketer – Make More Money Online… Ethically!

I’ve heard people say that they want to start their own online business because they don’t want to have a boss that tells them what to do and when to do it. These people say that they don’t want to have to ‘punch’ a clock.

They will work when they want to and IF they want to because they won’t have a boss telling them what to do.

They are wrong! Or, at least, they had better be wrong or they are doomed to failure. The fact is when you work from your own home, YOU are the boss and you had better be a darn demanding one.

You, the boss, must see to it that sufficient time is invested into the business every single day and that the time is used as productively as possible. You might no longer have working hours as required by others but you sure better have working hours.

Your old boss might have overlooked your being 10 minutes late getting back from lunch but you will need to be a lot tougher on yourself if you are to ever succeed at any internet business and you better forget about that old forty-hour week, too.

The internet marketing game is tough! Don’t you ever believe those advertisements that you see on TV that tell you that you can make thousands and thousands of dollars every month working on a part-time basis.

You MUST set up a working schedule for yourself. You must adhere to that schedule and you had best remember that quitting time is when you get through and not precisely eight hours after you went to work.

Your time IS your own to manage. You must supply your own discipline. You are still accountable to someone. You are accountable to YOU!

Guesswork and Becoming “Cheap” is NOT Smart!

Being thrifty is a good thing but there is a huge difference between being thrifty and just being cheap. You need to remember that in the Internet marketing game the objective is not to keep the money you have. The objective is to make more money than you have.

Have you ever heard the adage, “You have to spend money to make money”? It is a true statement that has come about through the experience of those who have gone before you. You can’t be so afraid of spending a few dollars that you prevent yourself from making money.

I have heard otherwise very intelligent people say that they didn’t take a marketing course that had been offered because it was ‘over-priced’. Now there is a dumb statement if I have ever heard one.

What they could have learned in that marketing course would make them many times over the cost of the marketing course. They ‘saved’ a couple of hundred dollars and prevented themselves from making many thousands of dollars by being cheap. They were certainly ‘thrifty’!

Another really dumb thing that I have heard a marketer say is that he didn’t buy a piece of software that could save him a lot of time because it just cost too much and maybe all the ‘bugs’ aren’t worked out.

What kind of thinking is that?

Would you keep cutting grass with an old fashioned push mower rather than buying a power mower because it cost too much and it might have a problem?

Here is the thing that you need to remember: Being thrifty is not a crime.

Being dumb isn’t a crime either.

If you really want to be a successful internet marketer, you have to be willing to invest in your own knowledge and provide the tools for yourself that makes success possible.

I do not know one single very successful internet marketer who has only one income stream. They all have their fingers in a lot of different pies, so to speak.

They have multiple income streams and multiple websites and you need to pay attention to what successful people are doing and learn from them so that you can also become successful.

Have you ever heard the term, ‘that’s just peanuts’? It’s a term that means that something is too small to be worthwhile. I beg to differ. Let’s talk about peanuts. Let’s say that a person raises some peanuts and sells them at a roadside stand. He has one income stream.

Then he starts making peanut butter and sells that as well. Now he has two income streams. Next he starts roasting the peanuts and selling them giving him three income streams. Then he buys some pecans and adds them to his inventory and has four income streams. You get the picture.

His business is no longer JUST peanuts. He might have started out with JUST peanuts but he has built additional income streams and now his business is thriving because he is appealing to the tastes of more and more potential customers.

That is precisely how internet marketing works. People are attracted by different things. The more different things you have, the more different people will be attracted. Every internet business begins with just one idea and just one website.

That is exactly where every ultra successful internet business person started. The ones who are ultra successful didn’t stop with just one, though. They built and built. They added websites and products. They created additional income streams and you should also strive toward having multiple income streams.

This is something I struggled with and it’s something that a lot of newbies are still struggling with…

When you first come online, you struggle to find that one thing… that one idea to pursue.

BUT! And this is a big “but”… Once you hang around for a while, it seems like ideas and opportunities are everywhere. It simply can become completely overwhelming. And then it gets difficult to decide what to do and what not to do.

Once you do decide on the things you are going to do, you then have to organize your time in such a way to get things done. But how do you decide what you want to do first?

Setting priorities

Priority is one approach to whittling down to what you want to do. What is most important? Better yet, what is going to make you the most money? Or money the fastest?

Once you have figured that out, create a time line to accomplish things. It can simply be on a piece of paper that you tape to your wall next to your computer so you see it everyday.

Then this is the hard part. Do it!

One thing at a time… you can do some stuff simultaneously, but don’t do too much. The main thing is to see things to the finish line. It’s better to do one thing well and complete it then do a bunch of things poorly and never finish anything completely.

Being focused

Sometimes it will be difficult to stay focused. Not everything you are going to be doing will be fun… Try not to think of the tasks at hand. Don’t think about how difficult what you’re doing is. Concentrate on the results you are going to get.

Focus on what the benefits of your actions will be. If it’s a big project that’s going to take a while, you might have to make a note of the “benefits” and tape it to the bottom of your computer’s monitor.

A mental or written benefit that you can imagine clearly in your mind.

“What I’m doing will”:

1. Bring me lots of traffic.

2. Help me pay the bills.

3. Allow me to quit my day job.

4. Impress that woman or man you have your eye on…

5. It will set the stage for bigger and better things.

6. It will impress your friends or colleagues.

7. It will get your wife off your back.

8. It will simply pay for my hosting every month.

9. It will bring me closer to retiring…

10. It will buy me that car I’ve always wanted.

What motivates you?

You know what I’m getting at. What do you want the most? We are motivated by specific things in our lives… Love, Money, Power…

That is the benefit for what you are doing. So the next time you are doing that task that is driving you up the wall… close your eyes for a minute and visualize.

Then it’s just a matter of setting specific, daily goals to complete things. And disciplining yourself to reach those goals.

Being disciplined

Just like with my Revenue Blueprint ebook and then setting up my complete system. It has been tough. I was very busy. But I tried and wrote at least 3-5 pages per day no matter what was going on… You know what? I didn’t always feel like doing it! But I was disciplined and did it anyway, because I had a clear, mental picture of the resulting benefits…

Your job is not finished after you have created your product, though. Then the real work starts. You have to think about how to set up your offer (e.g. OTO’s, USP, Bonuses), which payment processors/scripts to use, you’ll need graphics for your salesletter and you need to write the salesletter itself. You have to think about pricing, about getting JV partners and other traffic sources.

Accomplishing goals is satisfying!

But it’s worth it! You can’t imagine what satisfaction it is to see that you’ve finally accomplished something and that you’ve put up a new & helpful product. And that’s why I personally love to be a product creator. It can’t be compared to being an affiliate for other people’s products. Because then you are only selling other people’s ideas and strategies and not your own.

Affiliate marketing is good for newbies, though. It helps you to learn the ropes of this Internet marketing business. But ultimately, your goal should be to develop your own products and become UNIQUE in the marketplace.

It’s more rewarding and pays a lot more than being an affiliate even though super affiliates like Ewen Chia would probably deny this. His absolute breakthrough came along when he started creating his OWN products (Secret Affiliate Weapon, Affiliate of the Month, Autopilot Profits), though.

So there’s not that much Ewen could deny…

Project Quick Cash – This is my personal review of Alok Jain’s latest ebook.

Some info about the author, first…

Alok is from India and he has also written: “Viral Profit Machine”, “Two Minute Profits” and “Silent Profit Machine”. I have them all and they were all very helpful. Project Quick Cash is about 5 very specific methods of making money which can be implemented quickly.

And “Quick Cash” is something almost every Internet marketer wants, although in most cases, I personally prefer methods which will build you a solid business like described in my own ebook called “Revenue Blueprint”.

What is Project Quick Cash all about? Is it really revolutionary or have we seen it all before?

I will be describing the techniques so you can decide for yourself if these techniques are for you or not.

Method #1 “Cashing The Spike – Part 1”

This Project Quick Cash technique is being used to cash in on current trends and events and can bring you a lot of very targeted visitors quickly. It makes use of a resource that I hadn’t known about before. But now that I know about it, I will be watching it very closely myself.

The trends which you can discover there, can be monetized with affiliate programs. I really like this method because just like Alok’s ebook title promises: It’s quick and easy to implement.

Method #2 “Cashing The Spike – Part 2”

It’s almost done in a similar way like in part 1 with the main difference being that the monetization is done via Google Adsense. It is dependent on the niche which you choose whether it’s better to use affiliate programs or Adsense.

Both parts have a lot of potential and I will be using them myself very soon.

Method #3 “Underground Niche Profits”

The method which is explained in “Underground Niche Profits” is very similar to the techniques described in George Katsoudas’ “Hybrid Traffic System”. But it’s not as comprehensive as George’s ebook and doesn’t make use of the twist George is revealing.

Therefore, the uniqueness factor is not very high but nevertheless it IS a very effective technique if used correctly. Alok explains exactly what kind of forums to target and how to find the best niches to get into in order to maximize your return on investment (ROI).

Method #4 – “Super Placement Targeting”

This technique is one which I had actually read about in a report which I bought as a WSO (Warrior Special Offer). It’s about using Adwords to get clicks for as low as $0.01 per click. Initially, I never thought that getting clicks for such a low CPC was possible but after reading the WSO report and now Alok’s ebook, I’ve actually tested it myself and I can say: Yes, it can be done!

You should not be using this method in Internet marketing related niches because it probably won’t work. Most likely, the click costs will be much higher there. But for other niches, this method is perfect to get very low cost clicks but highly targeted traffic, nonetheless.

Technique #5 – “Leeching On A Launch”

This is a good technique and I have seen quite a few marketers make use of this. It’s a very specific way of profiting from a big launch within the Internet marketing arena and it can make you from several hundreds to several thousands of dollars from the launch day to about 1-2 weeks after.

The technique doesn’t require you to have any technical skills at all and it can be implemented within 5-10 minutes depending on how experienced you are with the set up of new domains.

Cost of implementation: About $9 for a domain registration…!

Conclusion:

The title of the ebook really doesn’t promise too much. These are “Quick Cash” methods which can be implemented in a few hours, some even in a few minutes. I knew about 3 of the techniques already but nevertheless, the explanations were very well written and they’ve actually enhanced the knowledge which I already had about them.

Who can profit from this ebook?

Newbie and intermediate Internet marketers can definitely profit from the content which is included in Project Quick Cash. But it supposes that you are at least familiar with using Adwords, implementing Adsense and integrating affiliate program links. If you have never done these things before, it could be quite difficult to put these things into practice.

But just like I did with Google Payload, I am going to give you bonuses, which will help you to understand the presupposed basics and from there, you can go on and actually implement the techniques Alok describes.
