I would like to know if their is a reliable blogging software out there that shows you step by step how to make decent income with adsense and how to get traffic to it? I invested $5000 into a program and got screwed. Trust me i am still very upset about it. So i have little to no money to spend on any type of money maker. Please help me if you can.

Hello Glenn,

there is no such thing as “a blogging software that can show you something”. There are tutorials which can show you how to use certain types of blogging software. WordPress, by the way, is the only kind of blogging software which I recommend to both newbies and advanced Internet marketers alike because of the high flexibility and the possibility to make quick changes to a complete design.

I just cannot understand how you could invest $5000 into something that you didn”t even know would work for you. If you had gotten your copy of WordPress Profit Machines, I am sure you would have seen a much better return on investment. Would you mind sharing what kind of guy scammed you with this and why you didn”t ask for refund or didn”t he even offer one? There”s nothing else that I can say other than you should be using WordPress in a manual way and not use some kind of completely automated solutions which are not posting real content. If it”s posting articles then okay but not e.g. just the content of some RSS feeds.

This means like with any other thing you do, you need to invest your time to make something work for you. Looking for the quickest solution almost always is one of the worst ideas. The promotional part of such a blog/website is the most important part and if it is not done, then it won”t work. If you”re making that kind of investments the next time, better ask me for a tip or review first so this won”t happen again. You will probably have read some of my reviews already and know that I am not promoting everything just to make a quick buck…!

That”s an easy question… You just need to go to TinyURL.com and enter the regular affiliate link into the field where it says “Enter a long URL to make tiny”. Then you click the button and your link is cloaked. If you want to use this link in an email. you just need to copy the generated tiny URL into the email instead of your regular affiliate link.

I have been trying to make an income on the net for about 5 months now with nothing to show except for a lousy bank balance.

So many programs that promise a lot just don’t cut it anywhere near what they say at the beginning. And the dream of being able to work from home and have that little bit of extra contact time with my 2 children, whom I only get to see fortnightly, is shattering.

After all, a better future for them is why I am doing this. Anyway, enough of that. If you do have some helpful ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Peter,

it would have been great if you had mentioned what you have DONE so far apart from probably buying courses and reading a bunch of ebooks? Did you get active and have you started building your own website(s)? Most people are just passively looking for some kind of magical button which they can push. Let me tell you from personal experience: There is no such button!

You need to be consistenly working on your dream. And with working I mean getting active, not just consuming ebooks and courses. This will get you nowhere. Decide on one way of making money instead of always pursuing the latest “greatest thing since sliced bread” opportunity. Once you know that e.g. you just want to do affiliate marketing or start publishing content (these are both easier than creating and selling your own product), decide on a market that you want to get into.

I would not suggest getting into the Internet marketing field as a complete beginner (even though this always sounds the most attractive one to a newbie). It can work for experienced people in this field who know the ins and outs but if you only have a limited knowledge of all the techniques, I doubt that you can be successful.

Try to find your own niche, something that you are interested in and where you know that people are also spending money in that area. After having found a market, you need to find your sub niche, e.g. if the market you have decided on is golfing, you need to carve out your niche, e.g. “junior golf equipment” or “women”s golf shoes”. Don”t go too broad by trying to sell something related to “golf” to stay with this example. At a later stage, once you are successful in your niche, it could be an option to get into Internet marketing, though. Because then you have something to show for…

There is one method which is for complete beginners and it”s something that I highly recommend. It”s called the “Lazy Git Marketing” method and it”s one of the easiest ways of making money I know of.

Although it has to do with the creation and promotion of websites (both parts are explained in the ebook in an excellent way), you actually do not need to be getting a lot of traffic to make this method work. In fact, this is the main method which I am recommending to my personal coaching student here on Mauritius right now to get him started with making money online. In the past few days, we”ve been going through the individual steps which are described in this lazy git ebook!

But please, if you decide to get this ebook on my recommendation then put it into action. Don”t let it just collect digital dust on your harddrive. If you have problems putting these steps into action then ask me – I will personally help you to get started with that method if you”re using my link above (yes, this IS an affiliate link). Here is my detailed review for your site:

1.) I have the impression, the site is rather incomplete so far. I am missing a headline which tells me what the target audience/age group is for your site (the title bar says “adult social network” but what can they expect?) and what your unique angle is. Why should they join your site instead of e.g. MySpace.com / Friendster.com which allows them to do the same things? What makes your site different? Until now, I can only see pictures of you, the blog posts seem to be automated postings of RSS feed content and the layout doesn”t fit together.

2.) The header is not looking professional and because of its” colors, the red navigation links can”t be read. Moreover, the header also is too small (when viewing it in a 1024×768 resolution) and allows people to view a yellow background which doesn”t fit into the site. Maybe, you should put your navigation links below the header so they can be read.

On subpages, the same red navigation links seem to be blue. Why is it changing the color from page to page? Navigational links need to be consistent and should not change from page to page.

3.) The colors of the layout don”t fit together. The background is a complete contrast to the other sections of the index page. The heading colors for the individual sections also look rather unusual.

4.) The Adsense block doesn”t fit in there, either. It looks like a foreign object there and using the banner format makes it look and smell like advertising. People would rather ignore it as they don”t like to click on advertising. It should blend in with the colors of your site (but hopefully after you”ve changed them…).

5.) Because your picture is the only one which appears on the front page, it makes your site look like a virtual ghost town. There doesn”t seem to be any activity apart from your own. You need to change this and start promoting your site after you have found your unique angle and changed the design.

So in order to answer your question: No, Anthony, I wouldn”t join it in its” current state… My suggestion is that you hire a web designer to create a professional header/design for your site. Then it will be much easier to get visitors and signups. Go to Scriptlance.com or Elance.com and put up a project there.
