Many members of my Niche Content Websites membership site keep asking me how they can get enough traffic to their ready made Adsense websites. As you probably already know, duplicate content is a big issue with the search engines these days. But why are people just looking at search engine traffic? Because they think, they can just upload their websites and get the spiders visiting their sites while giving them top search engine rankings. Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way… You still have to work!
You’ll only get traffic if you put enough work into traffic generation. If you intend to rely on the search engines alone then you better make sure that you have enough backlinks to your sites (and this takes time too!). And not just any backlinks but links from authority sites which have a high pagerank. The higher the pagerank, the better your rankings. Then and only then you’ll be able to outrank others who are using the same content as you.
A penalization for duplicate content just means that your pages are used as secondary results, it doesn’t mean that your complete domain gets banned from the search engines. So if you want to be on the safe side, the best thing would be to rewrite the articles a bit (there’s an article rewriting software included for members of Nichecontentwebsites.com) or use Article Builder to add snippets with tips into the articles in order to make them unique (my favourite choice because then you don’t need to do the rewriting…).
But why would you want to rely on just one method of traffic generation? There are so many other methods for traffic generation.
Some of them being:
1. Write and submit articles to the article directories.
2. Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your site.
3. Answer people’s questions on www.answers.yahoo.com.
4. Post in forums and have a link to your site in your signature.
5. Write a press release and submit it to www.PRWeb.com.
6. Advertise your website in the appropriate category on www.CraigsList.com.
7. Give an unbiased testimonial on a product/service that you have used in exchange for a backlink to your site.
8. Start a blog and submit it to the 100’s of free blog directories.
9. Start a lens on www.Squidoo.com
10. Purchase advertising in popular newsletters or ezines.
etc. etc. there are literally dozens of other methods. If you want instant traffic, though, one of the best methods still is PAID traffic from the Pay Per Click Search Engines.
If you want to make sure that your visitors are interested in the content you have to offer on your websites, you could just bid on the most relevant keywords for your site. You need to bid very low if you want to profit from the clicks on your Adsense ads and you need to pick topics that are paying well enough to make this strategy worthwhile for you because it doesn’t make sense to bid $0.10 on a keyword and get back $0.12 for a click.
Either you have to bid lower and optimize your ad or you have to choose another topic that pays more per click. There are not many tools available that can show you in real time what Google pays you per click. As mentioned in one of my previous reviews, Keyword Elite does that for you. This way, you can pick topics that are profitable AND at the same time it allows you to find all those keywords that you can get for a much lower price (even as low as $0.01) than the main keyword that you want to drive your traffic to. You need to think outside the box with this strategy.
I have just finished reading a guide which goes into detail on the whole strategy of doing Adsense Arbitrage. It’s an ebook by my good friend George Katsoudas whom I happen to know as a great Internet marketer for at least 4 years already.
I want to quote some bullet points from his salespage:
-
How to set up campaigns that bring 20%, 30%, 40% or more CTR ON THE CONTENT NETWORK. Most content network campaigns are lucky if they get over 0.50%. Discover the best-kept secret of Adwords “insiders”…
-
How to create multiple landing pages on the fly. You can create just one landing page and have it “morph” depending on the keywords you bid on or the adgroup it belongs to.
-
A sneaky trick to add content behind your landing page on the fly – without writing a single word. This is a little black-hattish – but a very cool trick that you won’t find anywhere else on the internet (and you can quote me on that).
-
What types of niches to go after. Specific ideas given to you on a silver platter! You can just follow the process outlined with these “seed” keywords and set up a profitable Adsense arbitrage campaign quickly…
-
A free resource that sends you new niche ideas every day – including the approximate cost per click! Never be at a loss for profitable markets to target…
-
How to perform keyword research. Detailed screenshots take you by the hand and show you how it’s done – even if you are totally new to this!
-
Which keywords to go after when you create your Adsense arbitrage campaigns – and which to stay the hell away from! (Hint: if you think they are necessarily the most expensive in your market, don’t bet your house on it)
-
How to annihilate your competitors by tapping into dirt, dirt cheap keywords that they haven’t even thought about (let alone use). Thinking out of the box is what will give you the edge…
-
Managing your keyword lists: How to deduplicate your keyword lists, clean them up from unwanted terms, filter them, group them in related groups – the works…
His new product is called Adsense Arbitrage Voodoo and I highly recommend it if you are fed up with all the other traffic strategies which are either just too time consuming to set up or simply are not reliable enough (traffic spikes on one day and no traffic the next day…). In fact, creating new and profitable Adsense Arbitrage campaigns is where I am personally spending most of my time with right now. Apart from writing articles and reviews for you, of course ;-)…
