My Personal Review of Michael Cheney’s “The Golden Thread”:

I really like Michael Cheney’s natural style and the way he connects with his readers or viewers (he does a lot of videos). But since neither I, nor any other reseller got access to it, yet, I can only comment on what he’s written into the salesletter and what he’s been showing in his videos so far.
His latest products have all been top notch so I’m pretty sure that you’ll get enough value for your investment. So what’s included in the Golden Thread and what will it do for you…?
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN HIS PACKAGE?
Here’s a short overview:
Part 1. The 4 Ready-To-Earn Cash Cannons (Michael calls his video salesletters/squeeze pages “Cash Cannons” because they convert so well!)
- Cash spitting video salesletter/opt-in templates.
- 4 separate Cash Cannons so you can attract tons of targeted prospects & you can make more cash with your affiliate promotions. You’ll also be able to convert more visitors into buyers + you’ll recruit more partners.
- The package includes a written script, the web files you need, Powerpoint slides and video guides.
- You just need to apply them to your niche and you can start making money.
My review of this part:
If you consider the fact that the production of a professional video for use on your salesletters or opt-in pages can cost you as much as $500 for a simple 2-5-minute video then you’ll be getting an excellent value here (it’s worth the price of admission by itself already: 4 x $500).
The script, as far as I’ve understood it, can be used for any niche since he’s using some psychological triggers in it so people are getting into a buying frenzy.
Moreover, it can be used in any language by simply translating the contents of the scripts. That’s what the Swiss case study guy called Matt Mazur has done and he used it to make over $20000 within 27 days – in a French speaking niche…!
Part 2. TWO Private Label Video Products to Sell as Your Own
- 2 brand new, full video training programs (Topics: Website Traffic/Cash Tactics)
- Michael Cheney has personally created these products.
- They are completely brandable
- You’ll be getting all the website files, professional graphics & videos
- The salesletters have been personally written by Michael Cheney, too.

My review of this part: Even copywriters who are not the best of the best can charge $5000 or more easily for a high converting salesletter and if you think about it: Michael Cheney has written salesletters in the past which did more than $250,000 in sales, so he definitely is one of the best copywriters himself. And you’re not just getting 1 salesletter, you’ll be getting 2 of them. I think, that alone would put a real world value of $10,000 min. to this part of the package.
But of course, you’ll also be receiving the complete video products which are worth at least $1000-3000 per product as well (if you’re outsourcing this). In the hands of the right people (hopefully you, too), these could easily make at least $10,000 per product min. – depending on your speed of implementation (since a lot of others will have access to it as well and will be releasing them under different names).
The quicker you can bring these products into the marketplace, the more money you’ll make from them… This is a negative point, though, since not everyone will be able to get these out so quickly. And I have seen other PLR products related to traffic/cash strategies before so it’s not completely unique but definitely topics that are in demand, though. I think, here, the big marketers who have lists in the thousands will have a big advantage because they’ll be able to get traffic to their new products much quicker than people who don’t have a list, yet.
So the value of this part will be dependent on 2 things: Speed of implementation and your ability to drive traffic to the salesletters.
Part 3. A 6-Week Online Interactive Personal Coaching Program
- Module-based Program delivered via weekly recorded videos, audios, reports and mindmaps
- Q & A sessions via webcam once a week
- You as a buyer will develop your OWN “Golden Thread” so it will be unique. You’ll be able to exceptionally increase your profits.

My review of this part: In my opinion, this is really the best part of it – you’ll be getting access to an Internet millionaire’s mind. You can ask Michael direct questions and he’ll answer them all in his Questions and Answers sessions. Even if you don’t have the time to attend one of the sessions, you’ll be able to download the recordings and go through them whenever you can find the time for it. Other IM “Gurus” charge $5000-10000 for personal coaching alone…
This part is priceless!

My review of this part: The fact that he can show proof that his techniques work is a big plus in my opinion. He could have simply sent this to some of his marketing colleagues and let them work with it and the results would have been even more impressive. The fact that his case study objects did not have the big Guru names attached to them, makes these results even more impressive. I think that the package definitely is worth the price he’s charging for it although there is a minus regarding the PLR product.
But the 6-week personal coaching and interaction with an Internet millionaire plus the 4 cash cannons, the scripts and all the files to create your own cash cannons, will easily make up for it. It’s easily worth the price of admission ($2000) by itself.
All in all, I highly recommend this package!

But, after four years online and $30,000 spent on this sort of thing without one single sale, somehow I don’t think I will be throwing $2000 against the wall on the million to one chance it will stick.
Obviously, the big money is made by people who can convince people like me to buy these things that they will never be able to use.
I am a fervent follower of Michael Cheney and watch all his videos – I’ve even bought a $500 ‘system’ from him although I knew I’d never make a penny from it, so I don’t want anyone to think that I am being nasty, completely the opposite, Michael is my favourite marketer, but the truth is, ordinary people DO NOT ever make any money.
The ‘case studies’ were, in all probability, led by the hand and the other 1000 who made nothing just were ‘forgotten’.
All the same, good luck to the compulsive gamblers who are willing to risk $2000. You really have more chance of profit by putting it on a horse.

I appreciate your honesty even though I am of the opinion that you are overgeneralizing the issue.
Certainly, I don’t know about your experience online but people who invest in his Golden Thread Package get personal access to Michael himself so he’ll be able to consult with them on what needs to be done – you’ll get a plan of action. I know that there are many people who are buying into “systems” but not putting into practice what is being taught there.
I don’t know if this is you but even systems require a minimum amount of work. This is especially true with regards to traffic generation. Without traffic, even the best system won’t work. You should at least have an idea of the business you want to get into (don’t think just Internet Marketing “niche”). You will get better results if you start with something you already have experience in.
And regarding your statement: “The truth is, ordinary people DO NOT ever make any money”, I must say that this is complete non-sense!
I am an ordinary guy, too. I am nothing special. Anyone can do what I have done. Everything I have put into practice has been self-taught. I wasn’t born with the ability to design web pages, write salesletters or even speak and write English (I’m german…). This hasn’t stopped me, though!
I’m not at a level of a Michael Cheney, yet, but I am making good money from this online business, too. Basically, I restarted 2 years ago from 0. I had no list at that time and I was simply focused on rebuilding my list (I lost my existing list of around 3000 prior to that due to problems with an autoresponder service I was using at that time).
All in all, I’d say the systems work. The question is can you follow instructions? And how persistent had you been after you started one project? It’s not just about the system – it’s about your ability to be focused on making a project a success.
Case studies with 1000+ people? Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous… Of course, the case studies were led by the hand. But that’s what you’ll be getting, too. That’s the whole purpose of this system: The coaching is included! And if you really think that this won’t work, there’s always the 45 days guarantee period which you could make use of.
But in all honesty: I really think this “Golden Thread” works or I wouldn’t have written this positive review about it. I am on the list of one of these case studies (Alex Jeffreys) and he’s done a terrific job with these cash cannons – 2 years ago, he was an unknown, too.
And I am of the opinion that anyone can do this, regardless of age or experience if you’re willing to learn at least the basics (I know, I am repeating myself here). A simple web cam (~$30) is all you’d need to create your own videos. For building additional websites, you can hire people so there’s no reason why this shouldn’t work.
The rest is persistence and willingness to learn and TAKE ACTION (and to make corrections if one action hasn’t immediately led to success)…!
